Building on the success of last year's ride, amateur cyclists are once again challenging themselves to complete a three-day, 500 km self-supported road trip from Winnipeg to the IISD-Experimental Lakes Area (IISD-ELA) research facility in northwest Ontario.
Riders are paying their own expenses while accepting financial pledges for their efforts. All funds raised will be donated to the Lake Winnipeg Foundation to support community based monitoring work.
The goal is to raise $5,000, which will enable LWF to purchase 10 portable water-sampling kits.
